Hello from Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge!
I adopted the name Leather Lady at the Portland Saturday Market. We call each other by our products-Spoonman, Tie Dye Guy, and so on. This is my 6th season and the Market and we recently moved into our new site. Before becoming a Market Member, I worked in the fashion industry for 20 years. My work was featured in Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Nieman Marcus. The highlight for me, was having an item in the window of Bergdorf Goodman.
I joined the Market to experience selling my works directly to customers. Also, being a part of an artisan community has been great fun. My prices reflect my wholesale background, and after years of production, it is a thrill to make one of a kind items. Many of the unique leathers I saved from my factory days. Vintage Italian lambskins and exotic prints from New York are combined with recycled leathers in my works.
My inspiration comes from living in the Gorge and studying international fashion. Each piece is crafted to achieve a classic, updated feel. I design for the confident woman who is proud of her own unique style. Each piece is crafted with care and expertise in a wide variety of colors and textures. I have selected 24 pieces to begin my internet adventure. I hope you love them as much as I do.
I have many more designs at the Market I also do custom orders. My location at the Market is Space #916, located in the Ankeny Plaza, behind Skidmore Fountain.
Sincerely Linda
